+ REFLECTION

OVERALL I didn’t give myself enough time to complete the projects to the full extent that I could have. this was a result of not planning and preparing beforehand which is slightly disappointing as both projects have so much potential .

CRIMEBOT

when working with glitch to build the website for crimebott I came into many complications with uploading pictures and and some placing of words which was expected as I’ve never built a website from scratch before.

<< this is how far I got using glitch.

so naturally I turned to look else where to build a website where I could get a bit more help. and as I was looking at some source code templets for inspiration and I came across w3schools which I have mentioned in a previous blog post.

they had a range of templets so I chose one and adapted it to cater for my project.

w3shcools was very effective in the way I was able to learn how to navigate html and some java script.

I wasn’t able to make it as interactive as I initially wanted the website to be however I adapted it quite well.

<<<< for example I wanted the user to hover over the caravans in this image where they could click each one and some information would pop up about a suspect ect, with the chatbot aka crimebott the detective.

I created the chat bot through voice flow which made it relatively simple as it was very easy to navigate through the website.

I unfortunately wasn’t able to find a way to link the chat bot to the website 🙁

GIFTBOT

as you can see gift bot wasn’t my main priority in the project. and it never left the planning / prototype stage. the image above is a rough idea/rough prototype of what I would have wanted it to look like……

• you’ve got the welcome page introducing the website
• the description page where you enter the details of the person you are generating a gift for
• information about your budget
• loading page
• finally the generated gifts with prices that range fro cheapest to highest and also which website you can find them from.
